The 74th Avenue Little Free Library (Charter #43877) — located in the Foster-Powell neighborhood in Portland, Oregon — was installed on September 20, 2016 to provide a space for neighbors and visitors to indulge their love (or discover the joy) of reading.
What is a “Little Free Library”?
A Little Free Library is a “take a book, return a book” free book exchange. Anyone may take a book or bring a book to share — with an understanding that real people are sharing their favorite books with their community.
There are nearly 40,000 Little Free Library book exchanges around the world, bringing curbside literacy home and sharing millions of books annually.
